Our first six pack of beers.
The first beer brewed by Providence Brewing Company in early 2021. One of the signature brews of Bavaria, Hefeweizen is a medium-bodied, effervescent ale practically exploding with yeast and wheat malt character – kind of like a liquid multigrain bread. Our version is 100% traditional - cloudy, malty, and spicy, with a smooth mouthfeel and dense, whipped-cream head.
Providence Brewing Company's second original beer. Traditional Irish ales are malty, smooth and medium-bodied, but it's the deep copper-red color that gives Whole Lotta Rosie its name. Our beer captures that rich, radiant hue and signature toasty, sweet character and is an immensely drinkable, crowd-pleasing brew. Clean, smooth and incredibly approachable, it isn't bitter or boozy, making Rosie perfect to invite to any occasion and enjoyable to any palate.
Beer #3 in Providence Brewing Company's line of Originals. Altbier refers to an old-school, top-fermented style of brewing ale rather than a relatively modern bottom-fermented lager. Altbier is especially associated with the city of Düsseldorf. Altbiers are a bit difficult to explain to the uninitiated - kind of like a hoppy Oktoberfest or a very malty pale ale? You'll just have to try a glass of this coppery-brown, rich, caramelly, and bitter ale to get the idea.
A faux Lager brewed with Norwegian kveik yeast, the simple malt base is inspired by the pervasive American Lager style and then bolstered with a small amount of light caramel malt to lend a golden hue. A modest dose of Vanguard hops provide just enough bitterness to balance. The real star of the show is Omega's Lutra yeast strain and its incredible versatility. This is the 4th beer in our Original series.
A tribute to one of the most popular IPAs in the business, this beer is inspired by Dogfish Head's 60 Minute IPA and features classic American hops and malt that make it a great year-round beer. This IPA is heavily hopped with Warrior, Zythos, and Citra hops for the hardcore beer enthusiast. The result is a balanced beer that exhibits some citrusy character from the hop selection with a healthy hop nose and bite. Enjoy this 5th beer in our Original series.
This 6th beer in the Originals series takes its name from the nineteenth century British physicist Lord Rayleigh. Blood red/orange hazy skies at dusk are usually due to the effects of Rayleigh scattering, or the elastic scattering of light by particles much smaller than the wavelength of the radiation. This IPA is heavily hopped with Citra and Mosaic, and a touch of Blood Orange is added after fermentation, making it a modern-day IPA drinker's favorite.
Piecing together various beer styles and flavors into something new.
What starts off as an innocuous and unpretentious simple wheat beer is transformed into beer drinking nirvana with a heavy dose of real mango. This beer sips with a smooth texture, starts off with a palate-pleasing soft wheat flavor, and finishes with a bang thanks to the mango. Ultimately satisfying and easy-drinking, this is a beer sure to please.
The commercial breweries' efforts have nothing on the locally produced Otter Water brand of Hard Seltzer. Specialty Lutra yeast from Norway, via Raleigh NC, leads to a clean, higher-than-average ABV seltzer that you will not find down at the local market. Strawberry-Lemon flavor crystals make this a refreshing drink you'll enjoy both indoors and out.
This original recipe brewed by White House staff is both a callback to the favored beverage of our Founding Fathers as well as an opportunity to come together and share pints across the aisle. More than just simply black and roasty, this porter builds consensus with sweet caramel and toasty malts, while moderate bitterness and honey lets us all find common ground.
Prepare your palate for flavors both copious and complex -- from tart and sour to subtle and sweet, thanks to the late addition of copious amounts of raspberry. This fruited sour starts out as a Belgian-style wheat, but things get funky pretty darn quick as the Philly sour yeast goes to work turning this into a beer you'll enjoy all summer long.
Starting as a sweet stout, this recipe then includes vanilla, cocoa, and oatmeal cookie flavored extract. Folding together all of these flavors creates a beer of great complexity with delicious notes of sweet pastries, a medium-heavy body, and a pleasing, long finish.
This Berliner will have you thinking about Grandma’s cobbler fresh from the oven and cooling on her windowsill. Brewed with massive amounts of cherry, vanilla, graham crackers, cinnamon & an extra dose of lactose, giving this dessert-style Berliner the extra pillowy mouthfeel, it deserves. A blast of bright cherry gives way to a heaping scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream and a cinnamon pie crust.
Classic Kölsch meets tropical mango in this immensely pleasing beer. Soft, slightly grainy pilsner malt, a gentle bitterness and a traditional German yeast strain lays the foundation for engaging synergy with juicy mango flavor to produce an incredibly easy drinking and refreshing beer. Mixing the tradition of Cologne, Germany with deliciously lush notes of tropical mango opens a whole new world of elegance.
New styles, new ingredients & new processes yield liquid works of art.
Oftentimes, nothing satisfies quite like a Mexican-style light lager. Pale, crisp, and clean, these beers invoke images of beaches, sunshine, and softly swelling waves. Envision notes of bready pilsner malt, faint floral and spicy hop character, and an extraordinarily clean and crisp finish to whisk you off to the tropics. Más Cerveza Por Favor Mexican Lager checks all of these boxes and leaves in its wake pure beer satisfaction.
A pre-modern Belgian style that was made in farm house breweries during spring; brewed hoppy and fairly strong in order to keep through the summer, but are fantastic all year long. A terrifically complex beer; the hops give a bracing bitterness and floral overtones, with striking spicy, peppery and earthy tartness from unique yeast.
This hazy double IPA was formulated to showcase the tropical and juicy aromas from BSG Hops’ Zamba™ blend and the minty and green-apple aroma notes from German Polaris hops. The grist is typical for the style, with a little boost from sucrose. The hopping schedule and yeast strain are intended to set the stage for aroma retention and biotransformation while keeping hop bitterness in check.
Bourbon barrel beers have been a popular style ever since craft brewers first started exploring this technique in the 90s. By starting with a stronger-than-average robust porter, then infusing it with bourbon-soaked oak, the end result is amazing. The intense American oak & sweet graininess of bourbon meld with the bittersweet roastiness of the porter to make for a very characterful beer.
An Imperial Stout that is aged in small batch bourbon barrels. Brewed with a combination of pale, caramel, chocolate & roasted malts, oats are added to give the beer a fuller & sweeter taste. The roasted malts give the beer its dark color as well as its intense flavor and aroma. Barrel aging add layers of chocolate, vanilla and cherry.
